The ground rules of fair competition and the State Lord system on homestate.lol.

Voting Rules

1 IP Address = 1 Vote

Only one active vote can be cast from each internet connection (IP address). You may move your vote to another state whenever you like; your old vote is deleted automatically and added to your new state.

Cloudflare Turnstile Bot Protection

Invisible Cloudflare Turnstile verification is applied to block bots and automated voting scripts. You never need to sign in or enter a password.

Free and Transparent

Voting is completely free. State votes and rankings are reflected live and transparently to every visitor.

Gamified Sponsorship & State Lord Rules

The “State Lord” system is the sale of a gamified sponsorship slot where you can promote your brand, project or social media profile on the state cards and the live map. The terms “Lord” and “Throne” are used purely as a humorous, nostalgic and entertaining competition concept and carry no official or legal status whatsoever.

  2. 2Sponsorship Handover with +$1 (Outbidding)

    While a state has an active sponsor, anyone else can take over the state card sponsorship by paying at least $1 more than the current price.

  3. 3Difference Discount for Displaced Sponsors

    If someone who previously held a state's sponsorship is displaced, they can reclaim it by paying only the difference instead of the full price again. The reclaim must use the same link as before — that link is what identifies you as the previous sponsor. The minimum charge is $1.

  4. 4Content Moderation and Refund Policy

    If the published title, description or links are found to contain objectionable, illegal, abusive or indecent content, that sponsorship record is immediately removed from the system without any refund. Being outbid is not a refundable event either — the full list of what is and is not refunded is on the Refund Policy page.
